七圣娘娘，又叫七娘妈、七娘夫人、七星夫人。农历七月初七日是娘娘的圣诞，也就是七夕、乞巧节。七圣娘娘是保护妇孺平安的女神、女信众也会向她乞求巧艺和祈求姻缘。作为人格化的织女星，她体现了星辰信仰与民间流传的七仙女故事的融合。传统的七圣娘娘拜祭活动在七月初七晚上举行，即所谓的“七夕”。
Qi Sheng Niang Niang is also known as Qi Niang Ma or the Seventh Star Empress. Her feast day takes place on the seventh day of the seventh Lunar Month, and is known as the Qi Xi Festival (The Seventh Night) or the Qi Qiao Festival. Qi Sheng Niang Niang is the personification of the star Vega; the folk story of the seven fairies is also imbued in the beliefs about her. Traditionally, she is a protector of women and children, and she grants wishes to ladies who pray for skills in the feminine arts and marriage.
